The Idea Of Being “Ready” 🤔

What does “ready” truly mean when it comes to motherhood?

At mom’z, it’s not about having all the answers or feeling calm 24/7 (after all, we’re human!). Instead, it’s about stepping into motherhood with confidence, support, and a sense of control as you embark on this life-changing journey.

In every retreat I teach, the women who arrive most anxious about birth are almost never short of information. They have read everything. What they are missing is the felt sense that their body knows how to do this, and that they will not be doing it alone. That is not something an article can give you, which is an odd thing to write inside an article. But it is what I watch build over five days, and mothers write to us after their births to tell us it held.

What Does Readiness Look Like at mom’z?

Picture this: five rejuvenating days in the sun near Barcelona or near Lisbon, far away from the daily grind. 🌞 We also run occasional dates in the UK. Here’s what readiness looks like, mom’z style:

  • Mindfulness & Movement: Imagine starting each day with calming prenatal yoga designed just for expectant moms – gentle enough to nurture, powerful enough to support you and your baby.
  • Emotional Resilience Workshops: Think of this as a “toolkit for motherhood.” Our sessions guide you through mindfulness practices, managing stress, and embracing confidence from within. Because motherhood is a journey, and we want you to feel capable every step of the way.
  • Your Community: Picture connecting with 10 to 14 other women who get it – who are right there with you. This isn’t just a retreat; it’s the start of a lifelong support system.

“Feeling truly blessed to be able to connect with women, learning from these exceptional, strong, and empowered individuals. Leaving this retreat, I am grateful, filled with love and I feel ready to take on what's next in my pregnancy journey.” - Jessie, Paris

“I felt nourished mentally and physically. I now feel much more ready for birth. I'm no longer second guessing whether I have missed any key resources, insights or practices.” - Danielle, Curacao

Not Just a Babymoon – A Long-Term Investment

If there’s one thing to remember, it’s this: taking time for yourself isn’t just a “break.”

It’s an investment in you, your baby, and your family’s future. Here’s why:

  • Studies show that self-care and mindfulness during pregnancy positively impact your baby’s development.
  • Moms who cultivate a calm, grounded mindset are better equipped to navigate postpartum challenges with ease.

This isn’t just a gift for yourself – it’s a decision that pays dividends for years to come. ✨
